Rationale
for Module |
Today’s managers do not only have to deal with
national markets; business activity increasingly involves
transactions across national borders, even for small firms. To be able
to master the challenges of
internationalisation, it is necessary to understand why international
trade takes place, as well as the political and
economic effects trade has on domestic economies and the world economy.
The module also considers how
international finance affects the economic relations between national
economies.
The module builds on the knowledge and understanding gained by all
students in the Level 1 module Introductory
Economics and complements the International Management pathway module
International Trade Operations. It
provides contextual underpinning for the Level 3 core module
International Management & Marketing Strategy.
